101: Background Investigations: Gaming Employees
This course is designed to educate Tribal employees who are working in a position where they are conducting, reviewing or providing legal counsel to issues regarding individual background investigations for gaming employees.
The instructor will present a number of points related to the gaming industry and background investigations. An emphasis on why a thorough background investigation is mandatory, who needs a background investigation, what to look for when conducting, interviewing and subsequently licensing an individual.
The training will also identify legal issues surrounding negligent hiring, and various tribal, state and federal guidelines, which may affect various tribal programs. Included in this session will be the latest technology and techniques to use when conducting a background investigation on an individual.
